Expert Perspectives · Keira Smith · 2024-07-22
At this year’s American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, Oncology Data Advisor sat down with Dr. Arlene Siefker-Radtke, Professor in the Department of Genitourinary Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, to discuss her presentation entitled “FGFR3 alterations in patients who develop locally advanced or metastatic urothelial cancer and their association with tumor subtype and clinical outcomes in patients treated with erdafitinib vs pembrolizumab.”
Listen in to hear more about:
- The incidence of FGFR3 alterations in urothelial cancer and their implications for treatment
- Her team’s molecular analysis of the phase 3 THOR study, which compared erdafitinib versus pembrolizumab for patients with metastatic urothelial cancer
- The incidence of luminal-papillary subtype tumors harboring FGFR3 alterations found in their molecular classification of tumors in the study
- Implications for clinical outcomes and treatment responses
- Next steps and more!
